All while understanding that together we are even better. /n /n/n /n Schedule: Full-time /n /n/n /n Shift : Night (7:00pm - 7:00am) /n /n/n /n Location: 100 Hospital Drive, Hendersonville, NC 28792 /n /n/n /n The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Hendersonville /n /n/n /n Convenient access, with locations across Western North Carolina /n /n/n /n Beautiful mountain scenery /n /n/n /n Historic towns and cities full of specialty shops, art galleries and unique restaurants /n /n/n /n Fresh produce available at farmers markets and U-picks /n /n/n /n Special events to enjoy in every season /n /n/n /n The role youll contribute: /n /n/n /n Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. /n /n/n /n The value youll bring to the team: /n /n/n /n/n /n - Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care and emotional support. /n /n - Provides care which may include bed bath, shower, whirlpool, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, freshening linen, cleaning overbed tables, straightening room and other general care as directed by the RN. /n /n - Provides general nursing care such as positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, applying/utilizing special equipment, assisting in use of bedpan, commode and ambulating patients. /n /n - Promptly reports any changes in patient status (e.g., changes in vital signs, level of consciousness, weight, mobility status, comfort level, feeding pattern or any unusual occurrences) to the RN in a timely manner. /n /n - Verifies the diet order for each patient to whom assigned, feeds or assists with feeding, and assists with fluid intake as directed by the RN or patient care plan. /n /n - Monitors and accurately records patient intake and output in a timely fashion and in accordance with hospital policy and physician order including routine intake/output, strict intake/output, and calorie counts. /n /n - Documents provided care clearly and concisely on the daily care record. /n /n/n /n/n /n Qualifications /n /n/n /n The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed: /n /n/n /n/n /n - High school diploma or equivalent /n /n/n /n - Current license as Nurse Assistant with the NC Board of Nursing /n /n - Current American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire /n /n/n /n/n /n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
