Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION
The role of the IT Project Manager III is to coordinate and lead all activities associated with new project implementations, including implementation planning and budgeting, resource allocation, post implementation audit, and turnover to operations and help desk for ongoing support. The Project Manager directs the activities of the IS staff involved in project implementations and ensures the usage of standard project management methodologies. The Project Manager will help to formulate and define system scope and objectives to develop or modify business operations. They will analyze system requirements and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business, Computer Science or related field is required as well as experience in a healthcare setting. EPIC experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with an Associate's degree will require an additional three years of experience in a similar position. In lieu of a degree, five years of experience system support, design, analysis and troubleshooting with successful performance in a position of similar duties will be required. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, along with providing exceptional customer service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent large or complex projects including vendor selection process.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables: project charter, project plan, status reports, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget, schedule and milestone/deliverable charts.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
