Job Description:
Title: (Certified Surgical Tech; Surgery Center) - PRN Location:
Knoxville, TN Job Details: $43hr • PRN Shifts (Block Scheduling
possibility) 6a-3p 8-hour shifts Description of the job: The
Certified Surgical Technician job at USPI Physicians of Knoxville
involves overseeing patient safety and supporting the surgical team
during procedures. Key duties include managing the sterile
environment, ensuring surgical equipment is prepared, documenting
the surgery, and serving as a liaison between the patient and
surgical staff Qualifications: Current BLS certifications (AHA
certification required) Current NBSTSA Certification Required 2
year experience required Experience in the following surgeries:
Orthopedics, total joint experience (Required), mostly adult, but
some teens for Ortho and joint, Colon and Rectal, ENT, General,
Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology/ Most
of the cases are Adult but also handle minimal ENT Pediatric cases.
Responsibilities: Patient Advocacy: Verify patient identity,
confirm the surgical site, and ensure consent is documented.
Maintaining Sterility: Ensure aseptic techniques are followed and
maintain a sterile environment during surgery Instrument and Supply
Management: Oversee surgical instruments, ensuring they are
available, sterile, and in good condition Documentation: Accurately
record all aspects of the surgical procedure, including team
members and any complications Communication: Act as a liaison
between the surgical team and the patient's family, keeping all
parties informed Safety Monitoring: Monitor the patient's vital
