Pay Information $1,745 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: PALS, BLS, APHON (for oncology) Must-Have: - Pediatric experience in a hospital setting - Pediatric oncology experience Description: Unit Information: Pediatric and Oncology Unit with a total of 19 beds. Thirteen pediatric beds and six oncology beds are available. A total of 22 staff members including pediatric and oncology nurses are on duty. Day shift consists of four RNs, one charge RN, one respiratory therapist, and one patient care technician. Night shift also consists of four RNs, one charge RN, one respiratory therapist, and one patient care technician. Patient ratios on the unit are 1:3, 1:4, or 1:5. Equipment used includes Alaris pumps. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Typical procedures performed on the unit include various pediatric and oncology-related tasks. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented and organized. Floating areas include Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Dress code requires navy blue or white tops in scrubs.
