Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends and rotating holidays /n• No call responsibilities required /n• Self-scheduling available /n• Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends /n• Must work every other weekend per contract /n• 24 hours of orientation (16 hours non-billable) /n• Team nursing model utilized /n• 1 year of nursing experience required /n• Accepts first-time travelers /n• Charge experience preferred /n• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS /n• Must live 100 miles from facility /n• Tennessee nursing license in-hand required with submission /n• BSN required for international travelers /n• Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education /n• Work with adult and geriatric patients (daily census of 37) /n• Care for patients with cardiac conditions, ICU downgrades, and stroke overflow /n• Perform procedures including catheterizations, stress tests, and TEE /n• Use specialized equipment including bladder scanners, EKG machines, and vein finders /n• Epic charting system experience preferred /n• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start /n• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a 38-bed Progressive Care Unit providing specialized cardiac care and step-down services from intensive care. The facility utilizes a team nursing approach and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
