ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/18/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends • No call responsibilities required • 2 years of nursing experience required • Accepts first-time travelers • Must live 100 miles from the facility • Required certifications: AHA BLS (AHA ACLS and NIH preferred) • Telemetry experience preferred • Epic charting system experience required • Trauma Level I experience preferred • Work in hybrid PCU/MedSurg department with 17 daily census and 19 beds • Patient population: Adults only • 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays • Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education • Must complete drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC fit testing guidelines • 4-5 hours of non-billable modules completed during orientation • Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decrease • Extensive skills required including blood product administration, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and various post-surgical care procedures Facility: This medical center operates as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced medical and surgical services. The facility features a hybrid PCU/MedSurg unit with 19 beds serving adult patients with complex medical conditions.
