Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/15/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a compact or TN RN license and cardiovascular stepdown experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a cardiovascular stepdown patient population - Night shifts from 18:30 to 07:00, three 12-hour shifts per week - Floating to Med Surg units required, with patient ratios up to 1:7 when floated - No on-call requirements - General orientation starts on Sundays with online learning modules - RN team members are expected to support nursing student education in addition to clinical care - Must participate in orientation totaling 16 hours - Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly due to census without penalty - No local candidates accepted /n /n Requirements/n - Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state at the time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular PCU or stepdown experience - Current certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale - Permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital's service area - Accepts first-time travelers /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-662081.
