registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience

be considered. This position offers an opportunity to provide
specialized nursing care on a step-down unit focused on patients
requiring intermediate critical care. You will engage in
comprehensive care management of diverse adult patient populations
presenting with cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and metabolic
conditions. The role suits a professional with solid PCU experience
and skills in cardiac monitoring, tracheostomy care, and complex
wound management. This is a contract role based in Lincolnton, NC,
with potential floating within the regional hospital network. Key
Qualifications and Experience: - Minimum 18 months PCU or step-down
nursing experience - Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) -
Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS - Proficient in cardiac
rhythm interpretation, tracheostomy care, chest tube management,
blood product administration, central line maintenance, and wound
care - Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
Responsibilities: - Manage patient care on a 32-bed step-down unit
with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4; occasionally 1:5
based on acuity - Care for patients with diagnoses such as
congestive heart failure, stroke, dysrhythmias, respiratory and
abdominal illnesses, and more - Collaborate with interdisciplinary
teams including CNA support, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and
intensivists available 24/7 - Utilize advanced monitoring
technologies and medication dispensing systems to ensure effective
treatment delivery - Participate in weekend rotations every other
weekend and cover approximately 75% of holidays worked during the
contract term - Engage in a structured orientation process upon
hire and follow a six-week scheduling cycle Location
