01-12-2026 About the Role We’re hiring a Licensed Clinical
Addictions Specialist (LCAS) to join our dedicated behavioral
health team in North Carolina. As a Substance Abuse Counselor,
you’ll provide evidence-based treatment to individuals struggling
with substance use disorders, helping them achieve recovery and
stability. This role involves direct counseling, case management,
and collaboration with community resources to support long-term
recovery. You’ll deliver services across community and clinical
settings with a flexible, client-centered approach.
Responsibilities ? Deliver individual and group counseling focused
on substance abuse recovery and relapse prevention ? Conduct
intake, screening, assessment, and treatment planning in accordance
with best practices ? Provide case management, crisis intervention,
and client education ? Maintain accurate documentation, records,
and progress notes in compliance with state and agency standards ?
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical and
psychiatric providers ? Participate in team meetings, trainings,
and continuing education activities ? Travel up to 25% within
assigned service areas to meet client needs Required Qualifications
? Master’s degree in a Human Services field ? Active state
licensure as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) ?
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing substance abuse
counseling ? Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications ? Dual licensure (e.g., LCAS LCMHC, LCSW,
or LMFT) ? Experience working with co-occurring mental health and
substance use disorders ? Familiarity with evidence-based practices
such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, or DBT Compensation &
