An exciting opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within school settings in Gastonia, NC. This role focuses on delivering targeted therapeutic services to help students overcome physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges, ensuring they achieve their full academic and developmental potential. Key Responsibilities: Assess students needs through observations and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans Implement therapeutic interventions that improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment Document progress and update treatment plans in compliance with school and regulatory standards Participate in travel between schools as required to ensure continuity of care for students across locations Qualifications and Experience: Valid Occupational Therapy license with credentials to practice in North Carolina Experience delivering OT services within educational or pediatric settings preferred Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and individualized education program (IEP) processes Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families Flexibility to travel regularly between assigned schools Location: The position is based in Gastonia, NC, with travel to various schools in the surrounding area.
