registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years Stepdown RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with
stepdown and progressive care experience is needed for a contract
opportunity in Kings Mountain, NC. This role involves providing
expert nursing care on a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), supporting
patients with a variety of acute conditions, and working
collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications and
Desired Experience: Minimum 18 months of PCU or stepdown nursing
experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Proficiency
in managing tracheostomies, cardiac drips, cardiac rhythm
interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care, dressing
changes, and central line management Comfortable with telemetry
monitoring and using EPIC EMR systems Ability to float within the
region and adapt to multiple facilities as needed Strong teamwork
and communication skills in a dynamic hospital environment
Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for patients requiring
stepdown-level observation and treatment, including those with CHF,
dysrhythmias, stroke, respiratory illnesses, and other acute
medical conditions Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses,
respiratory therapists, and hospitalists to ensure comprehensive
patient care Monitor telemetry and other vital signs accurately and
promptly report changes Administer medications, manage IVs, tubes,
and wound care while documenting care in the electronic medical
record Participate in weekend rotations and holiday scheduling as
outlined, with no on-call duties Location Highlights: Kings
