This role involves direct nursing services, patient care, and the initiation of emergency interventions as needed to ensure the health and safety of all inmates in line with the high standards of Southern Health Partners. Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures per prescribed protocols. Conduct physical assessments and triage medical complaints to prioritize care. Document all healthcare contacts to maintain accurate and complete medical records. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and non-medical jail staff to ensure comprehensive inmate health. Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility. Educate inmates on managing illnesses and preventive measures to promote overall health. Adhere to all safety and health regulations regarding handling and dispensing of medications and medical equipment. Strong clinical skills with proficiency in medical procedures required for primary care in a correctional setting Excellent organizational and communicative abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Capable of handling high-stress situations and emergencies with composure Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina CPR certified
