Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry position working nights with a 1:6 patient ratio and on-call requirements. Details - Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting - Patient ratio of 1:6 - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM - Weekends required on an as-needed basis - On-call required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6-week period - Floating within the traveler's skillset to a lower level of care is expected based on critical staffing needs - 13-week contract - Epic EMR experience preferred but not required Requirements - Active RN license (SC or Compact) required; pending license considered if obtained prior to start - Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred - Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests submitted after the fact will not be honored - Arrhythmia and medication tests must be passed on the first day of orientation; only one attempt is allowed - A respiratory fit test is required onsite; shaving may be required to pass the fit test - Holiday coverage is required as part of on-call obligations - An attendance policy is in place: missing more than two shifts during the 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation - Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration - Block scheduling is not available for this position American Traveler Job ID P-681534.
