ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, Tennessee. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends and holidays • No call required but floating to medical surgical unit with 1:7 ratios when needed • Patient ratios of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends • 2 years of nursing experience required • Accepts first-time travelers • Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, AHA ACLS • Must maintain permanent residence 100 miles from hospital service area • 24 hours of nonbillable orientation starting on Sundays with online CBLs • Epic charting system experience preferred • Trauma Level I experience preferred • Care for adult patients with cardiac conditions including post-MI, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and cardiac surgery patients • Manage telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, chest tubes, and BiPAP/CPAP • Perform IV insertion, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration • Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education • Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty if census decreases • Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 37-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level cardiac care between intensive care and medical-surgical units.
