Job Description:
HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Nurse Extern for our
Medical Cardiac Stepdown unit on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This role
provides pivotal support, under direct supervision, to our nursing
staff and patients in the cardiac stepdown unit. The Nurse Extern
will gain invaluable experience in a dynamic, high-stakes
environment, partaking in patient assessments, supporting patient
care plans, and learning from experienced clinical professionals.

team. Assist in monitoring patient vital signs and cardiac status
Support registered nurses and physicians in the implementation of
patient care plans Help with the preparation and administration of
medications as directed Provide basic patient care under
supervision such as measuring blood pressure, temperature, and
pulse Document patient care services by charting in patient and
department records Basic understanding of clinical practices and
protocols Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to
follow directions and procedures Attention to detail and accuracy
in task execution Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k CPR certification required;
additional certifications in cardiac care preferred.
