Marriott International is seeking a dedicated and efficient Food Runner to join our dynamic food and beverage team. As part of our global lodging company, operating in over 8,000 properties across 139 countries, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guest dining experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of dishes from the kitchen to guests' tables, contributing to our reputation for innovative service and quality hospitality. This position requires a dynamic individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and elevate our service standards. Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately Assisting with the setup of tables and the dining area, including the placement of linens, silverware, and glassware Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and restaurant promotions Acting as the point of contact between front of the house and back of the house staff Ensuring all food orders are delivered in a timely and presentable manner, and double-checking them before delivery to avoid mistakes Clearing tables and preparing them for the next customers Assisting in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant, including the kitchen and storage areas Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal communication Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours Attentiveness and detail orientation A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team Customer-service oriented Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food safety certification is beneficial but not mandatory
