Job Description:
MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Assistant General
Manager to oversee operations within our diverse transportation and
logistics services. This role is crucial for ensuring the
successful delivery of quality and reliable public transportation
services to communities we serve across North America. The ideal
candidate will support the General Manager in all aspects of
operational management, strategic planning, and staff coordination
in our daily transit operations. Assist in managing day-to-day
operations of transport services including paratransit, fixed
route, shuttle, and school bus offerings to ensure efficient
performance and excellent customer service. Collaborate with the
General Manager in strategic planning and implementation of
transport solutions designed to meet community needs. Supervise,
train, and develop staff, fostering a positive work environment
with high productivity and minimal turnover. Monitor operational
budget, reducing costs where possible while ensuring the
sustainability and quality of transportation services. Coordinate
with maintenance, safety, and compliance staff to ensure all
vehicles and services meet or exceed regulatory requirements and
safety standards. Handle escalated customer service issues,
resolving problems in a timely and effective manner. Report on
performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements based
on data analysis. Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities Proven
ability to manage budgets and control costs Deep knowledge of
regulatory requirements in the transportation sector Proficient in
data analysis and performance metrics Effective communication and
problem-solving skills Certified in Transportation and Logistics
(CTL) is preferred Professional certifications in Project
Management (PMP) or Six Sigma methodology beneficial
