Job Description:
Build your future with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for an
Assembly Operator I (2nd Shift) at Fairview, NC 28730 (Onsite). As
an Assembly Operator I (2nd Shift), you will: Polish and test fiber
optic cables. Assemble and package fiber optic connector
components. Terminate single and multi-fiber cables. Inspect own
work using quality standards and work instructions. Conduct tests
as needed for particular operations. Measure components using
calipers, gages, or other measuring devices. Inspect product to
print. Complete necessary operational paperwork required to
maintain the traceability of product. May troubleshoot and perform
minor repairs to equipment. General housekeeping of work area.
Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.
Follow safety guidelines. Perform all other work-related duties as
assigned. Read and perform tasks according to drawings. Recognize
common fiber connectors. Knowledge of cleaning methods and
contamination assessment for optical assembly. This is a Full-Time
Contract opportunity. Schedule: 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm. The
Ideal Candidate will have: High School Diploma or GED Required.
Minimum one year manufacturing experience preferred. Experience
with manufacturing fiber cables preferred. SAP Manufacturing & ISO
9001 experience is preferred. Working knowledge of hand tools and
blueprint reading. Available to work overtime to support production
goals as needed. Team Oriented - will work effectively and
cohesively with other employees to achieve required objectives and
goals. Credibility - takes responsibility for his/her own work.

safe and quality conscious attitude. Must be able to operate
machinery. Must be able to move between work zones. Must be
proficient and able to understand written instructions in English

$19.37/hour * Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be
based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work
