Job Description Job Description Full Job Description Estimator/Project Manager (Gastonia, NC) We have a position open for an estimator/project manager. Must be proficient in AutoCad and have experience with metal thicknesses, tolerances, and metal fabrication processes, etc. Candidate will be responsible for quoting projects, including doing material take-off and estimating labor. You will have contact with customers, prepare orders for release to the shop, coordinate with the shop foreman to answer questions and keep up with order status. Essential Responsibilities: Evaluate scope of work/RFQ's from customers and determine if suited for the company. Read and analyze CAD files and prints to determine best method of fabrication and ensure manufacturability. Must be proficient in AutoCad or Solidworks Prepare material take-offs based on customer files, samples or sketches. Source and price materials and sub-contract work as needed to prepare estimates. Assign machine time and labor man-hours for processing of work. Manage extras, change orders, and update estimates / orders when required.
