Founded in 2002, - LabConnect - provides global central laboratory services including routine and esoteric laboratory testing, kit building, sample management, biorepository and scientific support services for biopharmaceutical and CRO clients in support of their clinical trials. LabConnect is a central lab headquartered in Seattle with a primary operating facility in Johnson City, TN. Summary Responsible for the provision of project management services for the company's Early Development Services projects. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Sr. Project Coordinator and other Project Management Staff within Early Development Services to provide operational support for research protocols, phase 0/phase I protocols and SampleGISTICSTM projects. The Project Coordinator will manage project activities to our client's specification, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget by performing the following duties per the Sr. Project Coordinators requests and specifications. Responsibilities Provides immediate response to all Sr. Project Coordinator, Sr. Project Manager and Director inquiries and concerns. Serves as the secondary project contact with Sponsors and Contract Research Organizations to ensure appropriate communication channels are maintained. Updates all on-going project status to Project Managers. Reviews and commits digital forms and manages online sample tracking. Assigns digital pen user accounts; tests digital pen prior to shipment and upon return; tracks all digital pen shipments and returns. Performs QC of all protocol related documents before they are released to the client. Provides study updates to designated personnel as requested (number of successful digital pen installations, shipment tracking information, etc.). Manages creation and printing of digital forms. Manages PKL file pattern tracking for digital forms; ensures sheet IDs for digital forms are unique and not duplicated. Performs QC of digital forms and any supply kits containing digital forms. Assists in troubleshooting unsuccessful digital pen installations as needed; notifies sites when a successful site set up form has been received. Assists in conducting digital pen training sessions for study sites. Interfaces with investigator sites, project management, reference laboratories, customer service, shipping, and data management personnel. Manages site lists according to their current status: active, cancelled, closed, delayed/hold, development, and near close. Assures all investigators' site information is validated in applicable databases. Provides assistance on supply requests, corrections, patient reports, and other minor inquiries and concerns; asking for project management assistance, when necessary. Serves as reference point for clinical investigators; handling questions, concerns, and complaints, exhibiting a thorough understanding of each protocol. Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned. Education/Experience Four year college or university degree. (Bachelors of Science in the natural sciences preferred). Two-year college or university program certificate with four to six years related laboratory, clinical trial industry experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in customer service and Microsoft Office applications preferred. Must possess excellent organization and interpersonal skills and a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Ability to navigate software and databases is a must. Very high attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills is required for success in this position. Language Ability Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. -Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. -Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Math Ability Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Demands The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. -The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
