SCOPE OF POSITION
Responsible for the operations and accountability of the
Comprehensive Center for Wound Care/HBO and inpatient wound care
services. The manager will support a patient/family focus, high
performance/high commitment care by: defining and achieving
standards for quality patient care, developing and managing to an
operational budget, ensuring successful financial performance of
the department, maintaining regulatory requirements; developing,
managing, and evaluating area based work team performance.
Applies knowledge of nursing and management systems of patient
care, personnel development, fiscal and unit operations,
performance improvement, and program development; thus,
demonstrating the use of innovative ideas for excellence in
clinical, service and team performance, and cost reduction.
Demonstrates competency in management of system, process,
materials, fiscal and human resources. Interviews, hires,
supervises, counsels, develops, and terminates team members.
In the absence of an RN, may be required to function in the role
of staff RN to support patient care provision.
Actively participates in committees, along with patient care
quality and performance improvement activities through data
collections, aggregation and analysis of relevant key indicators of
quality; thus developing and implementing actions plans and
monitoring of the effectiveness of improvements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in nursing, bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of five
years clinical experience as a registered nurse, and at least three
years of supervisory experience.
Must be licensed in the appropriate state to practice
