Your RoleAs the Talent Acquisition and Career Development Specialist, you are an important component in ensuring we have the best workforce available within our banking footprint. You will be responsible for ensuring staffing needs are met by developing and implementing sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of potential candidates with a diverse set of qualified individuals. With a long-term talent strategy in mind, you will source, identify, screen and hire individuals for various roles in our company. You will work closely with hiring managers to ensure accurate job descriptions, clear candidate expectations and selection criteria for active positions. In this role, you will be accountable for implementing, and executing, end-to-end recruiting and hiring processes that results in a positive candidate experience. To aid in retention, you will be working closely with employees and managers to develop, and publish, defined career pathways across the enterprise.Position QualificationsTo be successful in this role you must:Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, plus 2+ years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, or similar. Or, 5+ years of related experience and training. Strong interview skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Familiarity with various Recruiting Channels and Avenues.Knowledge and Understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems and processes.Experience in proactively sourcing candidates.Experience developing Job Descriptions.Ability to work with supervisors to develop a keen understanding of each role in the company.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent multi-tasking and spur of the moment change of focus.Must be self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work with minimal oversight, while also knowing when to ask for assistance.Possess a high level of initiative as well as the knowledge of when and how to use it appropriately. Possess strong attention to detail.Possess proficient computer skills and be familiar with most Microsoft Office applications.Experience working with Affirmative Action Plans is a plus.Experience working with Background Screening companies is a plus.Key FunctionsIn this position you will be expected to:Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments.Determine selection criteria for candidates by liaising with managers and other members of the staffSource applicants through online channels and professional networksCreate job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each positionIdentify and refine down the most suitable talent from available candidates.Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews- if possible.Assess candidate' information, including Resume's, portfolios and references.Build a strong candidate pipeline through various channels, such as, job fairs and recruitment events.Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork.Manage the company's Affirmative Action Plan and reporting.Develop a clear understanding of the Company's culture and benefit package for recruiting purposes.Understand and adhere to privacy policies and guidelines.Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to determine staffing needs. Following approval, may be responsible for making offers to candidates, either verbal or written offer letter as applicable.Responsible for reviewing applicant credit, check systems and background checks to ensure ability to move forward in the application process.Responsible to work with personnel to develop/enhance career pathways for positions.Responsible for working with supervisors to ensure all job descriptions are current, accurate and on file for each position.Maintain professionalism to be a positive representation of Bank of Tennessee and our culture.Maintain compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.Other Duties as assigned.Your Organizational ImpactThe Talent Acquisition and Career Development Specialist is vital to ensuring that we are hiring and retaining the most qualified, diverse individuals for Bank of Tennessee.
