SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily operations of the Human Resources Department function of employment. Responsible for the internal and external recruitment of qualified employees, coordination of new employee requirements and orientation. Responsible for HRIS Systems.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, health or business related field preferred.Licensure: N/ACertification: PHR preferred.Experience: Two years experience in a mental health care environment preferred.Knowledge/Skills: Knowledgeable in all general HR practices and legal issues. Skilled in all major computer applications. Verbal/written communication skills.EQUIPMENT:Computer, fax, copier and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop sources of qualified applicants through advertising, job fairs and career placement center.Evaluate available applicants for position vacancies and route to appropriate interviewers.Ensure compliance with the rights of applicants and employees in employment matters.Facilitate new employee orientation.Maintain records and reports in a consistent current manner, including, but not limited to: new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and MVRs.Ensure that background checks are conducted for all new employees.Monitor and ensure that all applicable new hires have completed UDS.Process paperwork and maintain file on client employees.Follow-up on all delinquent employee-related documentation.Assures the accuracy and confidentiality of personnel files.Develops standard recurring HR reports and special reports as requested.Designs, develops and directs ongoing HRIS administration. Maintains current up-to-date position control file.Prepares and maintains job descriptions based on job evaluation.Assists with the design, implementation and administration of job evaluation and performance appraisals.Conducts and participates in compensation surveys.Monitors and ensures compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and inservices and individual program planning staffings as needed.All other duties as assigned.
