Finisher performs a wide range of tasks including placing,
finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete in a safe and
efficient manner and according to federal and state heavy highway
regulations. Essential Functions:
- 4+ years of experience forming and finishing concrete,
preferably in heavy highway/bridge construction
- Experienced with riding trowel machines and techniques/methods
of finishing flat and super-flat floors
- Ability to work off shift hours and overtime as required
- Smooths and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls,
slabs, elevated slabs, and sitework
- Spread concrete to specified depth and workable
consistency
- Finishes concrete surfaces using power trowel; rub and patch
concrete
- Loads, transports, and unloads tools, equipment, and supplies
required for each project
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools
and equipment
- Can work in a high production environment with safety top of
mind.
- Perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Steady work history and attendance record
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and work as a team
- Ability to listen and follow directions
- Excellent housekeeping and organizational skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including
lifting 50 lbs.Position Requirements Requirements:
- Prior construction or field experience preferred
- Must have reliable
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as a
team
- Ability to affectively follow specific directions from
supervision
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the
job--lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds; stand, walk on uneven
surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder,
climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including working
overtime and weekends as needed
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must pass drug screen and physical
- Must comply with criminal background check
