Master's Level Case Manager/Counselor is responsible for the
coordination of the treatment being provided on the units,
including individual and family counseling, and coordination with
all key players involved in the planning for the adolescents. The
position provides enhanced youth care and collaboration with the
Counselors, Program Manager, and Youth Service Workers to ensure
high quality of treatment for all clients in a residential setting.
In addition, this position is responsible for providing and
overseeing a range of residential assessments, treatment planning,
support groups, individual and family therapy, skills training, and
lectures for the educational purpose of the program. This position
will oversee the tracking and reporting of adolescents' treatment
progress and will provide appropriate staff leadership. The Case
Manager/Counselor will provide professional case management for the
adolescents on the unit and will manage multiple priorities and
program components. The role of the Masters Level Case
Manager/Counselor is to understand the principle method for
monitoring the treatment model, and ensuring the quality of care
for the treatment unit, supervision of the adolescents, and
positive modeling for the Youth Service Workers. This position will
be part of ratio during business hours as needed for youth/staff
ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as
assigned by management. Case Manager/Counselor will be familiar
with and have an understanding of addiction and mental health that
includes treatment knowledge, terms, and concepts that are related
to the theory, etiology, research, and practice. Case
Manager/Counselor must be knowledgeable about the continuum of
care, the social context that affects the treatment, recovery
process, and participate in weekly DCS and treatment team meetings.
Case Manager/Counselor will provide individual counseling two times
per week, family counseling twice per month, and group therapy to
adolescents as assigned. Case Manager/Counselor will coordinate and
participate in Child and Family Team Meetings throughout the
treatment program. Masters level case manager/counselor must have
the ability to communicate oral and written information clearly.
Case Manager/Counselor will complete assessments, treatment plans,
contact notes, progress notes, monthly progress reports, discharge
summaries, and supervise all treatment components for adolescents
on the units. Masters level case manager/counselor will be
responsible for adherence to the treatment model. Case
Manager/Counselor will provide 24 hour on-call crisis intervention,
this includes rotational weekend on-call/work responsibilities for
all programs. Case Manager/Counselor will provide transportation as
required by the residential unit. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree
in behavioral science, license preferred. Knowledge and experience
with adolescents with alcohol and drug issues, as well as dual
diagnosis, is strongly preferred. Must have a valid Tennessee
driver's license and be insurable by FCA's auto insurance carrier.
Must be 24 years of age due to company insurance coverage
requirements for possible use of agency vehicles or transport of
clients. Physical Requirements (BFOQ): Able to perform keyboarding
for extended periods Possess average to above visual and auditory
capabilities in the supervision of adolescents Be physically
capable of meeting Handle with Care (restraint) training and
application requirements Must be able to perform CPR/First Aid
processes Able to stand or sit for extended periods Able to squat,
bend, stoop, jump and/or climb steps/stairs as necessary without
risk of injury Able to walk and/or run a quarter mile continuously
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Work extended hours as needed
