Candidates will care for adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, gastrointestinal bleeding, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, and end-of-life care. The position requires strong team collaboration and patient advocacy. Nurses will float to surgical, neuro, and intermediate care units as needed. Patient ratios are typically 1:6. Equipment in use includes IV pumps, SCD machines, feeding pumps, and PCA pumps. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. Candidates should possess an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Scrub color is flexible. Team players who can handle a busy environment are desired.
