Job Summary and Qualifications Role Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon achieve desired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during, and after surgical intervention. What qualifications you will need: Required Education: Surgical Technologist: graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. If LPN in surgical Technologist role: Graduate of an accredited LPN program Preferred Education: Associate of Applied Science in Surgical Technology Required License: Surgical Technologist: Current BCLS certification. For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire. LPN in Surgical Technologist role: current BCLS certification and current NC license. Required Experience: Surgical Technologist: clinical experience in training program LPN in Surgical Technologist role: one-year experience in a Surgical Technologist role in an applicable acute care operating room setting or clinical experience in Surgical Technologist training program Mission Hospital is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
